Interdependence 2012 Conference & Expo
  • Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
  • May 15-18, 2012
  • Vancouver Convention Centre
Interdependence 2012, global conference and exposition designed to accelerate progress toward a healthy and inclusive world – through two distinct but complementary pillars: making communities ccessible for all and accelerating progress towards a cure for paralysis after SCI.

This event will unite the world’s most progressive minds to showcase ground-breaking innovations and explore solutions to some of the critical challenges being faced in the fields of physical accessibility to the built environment and SCI research.

In addition, Interdependence 2012 will provide an opportunity to advance two technology tools that are integral to the Rick Hansen Foundation vision: the Rick Hansen Global Accessibility Map and the Rick Hansen Institute’s Global SCI Trial Research Platform.
The Rick Hansen Institute
The Rick Hansen Institute (RHI) is a Canadian-based not-for-profit organization. Bringing together the best and brightest in SCI related research, clinical care and related services, RHI leads collaboration across the global spinal cord injury (SCI) community in order to accelerate the search for a cure for paralysis after spinal cord injury. RHI provides the resources, infrastructure and knowledge needed to translate new discoveries into improved treatments, which are reducing the incidence and severity of paralysis after an injury, reducing long-term costs and improving quality of life for those living with a SCI.
