Main Topics of the Conference:

Under the umbrella of the content of the International Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, the main Topics of the conference are distributed as follows:

1. Generalization and Disability, in all development processes, including integration of issues of Persons with Disability into sustainable development strategies in various areas, through enabling Persons with Disabilities and increasing their skills to realize achieving the principle of equal opportunities.

2. Gender, by including the two segments of women and girls with disabilities segments in the development processes and protect them from exposure to violence, abuse or maltreatment, inside or outside  house, and ensure they benefit from social protection and poverty reduction in order to achieve higher levels of development.

3. Youth and Children, it includes the involvement of children and young people with disabilities in development.

3.1 The effective involvement in decision-making processes on development establishment and implementation of legislations and national policies and programs on to the National levels and on regional, Arab and international levels thereafter.

3.2. The rights of Children with disabilities to care, protection and education, taking into account the best interests of the child with disability in equality with other children.

3.3. Support the evolving capacities of children with disabilities and invest them in the service of development.

4. Accessibility, it includes the physical environment, social, economic, educational, cultural, health, education, information and communication services, in order to remove barriers and ensure comprehensive development for Disability including:

4.1. Reasonable accommodation arrangements with all necessary modifications to suit the needs of persons with disabilities.

4.2. General design, including design of products and environments, programs and services used by all people as much as possible, without the need for adaptation or specialized design, and without the exclusion of some auxiliaries needed by persons with disabilities where they are needed.

5. Prevention, through programs of reproductive health and interventions to reduce the deterioration of social, life, economic, educational and health conditions for people with disabilities, it includes:

5.1. Reducing the high rate of having children with disabilities
5.2. The role of early intervention in the life of persons with disabilities
5.3. The role International organizations in reducing the deterioration of  Persons with Disabilities situation from both perspectives the physical (supportive) and  the legislative (international conventions and treaties)

5.4. Social responsibility of the private sector

5.4.1. Giant international and Arab Companies

5.4.2. Individual and Institutional initiatives

5.5. The role of official National Governments through national coordination between the various relevant sectors of the official bodies such as the Ministries of Social Affairs, Justice, Labor, Health, Work, parliaments, unions, syndicates and others, in order to control and organize of services provided to persons with disabilities.

5.6. The role of NGOs in inclusion Persons with Disabilities in various sectors of development.

6. Studies and Research, in order to enhance the collection of data and statistics on disability.

6.1. To enhance collaboration and coordination through the establishment of National, Regional, Arab and international networks, concerned with Disabilities, to monitor the reality of Persons with Disabilities in the Arab countries, and exchange successful experiences, to build a clear credible and reliable database to be considered in the development of programs, projects and activities.

6.2. The Role of the Academic Institution, Promote the collection of data and statistics relating disability by encouraging senior students to do research on disability issues, particularly on the level of Master and PhD

6.2.1. Develop programs related to the specializations of  the Special Education through following the  academic development to keep pace with the global level, and adopt deep specializations  in the Field of Disability.

6.2.2. Provide a safe learning environment persons with disabilities, during high education stages.

Conference language:

Arabic language is the official language of the conference, simultaneous translation into English will be available during Plenaries and some parallels sessions.
