4th International Meeting on Technology and Innovation for Persons with Disabilities

The trademark of the International Meeting on Technology and Innovation for Persons with Disability, now in its 4th edition, is the organization, coordination and realization of activities toward the diffusion of assistive technologies to enhance the quality of life of the entire population.
Comprised of an Exhibition of Innovative Assistive Technologies and an International Seminar on Technology and Innovation for Persons with Disability, this initiative aims at influencing technology innovation processes to foster research, industrial development, manufacturing, dissemination and selling of products and services, meeting the demands - through Universal Design - of several society segments, such as persons with disability, the elderly, obese, and children, among others.
This year, the objective is to discuss Disability and Sustainable Development, seeking to quantify the disability universe, to know its costs, its role and its value within the social context. The connection between disability and a greying society, rehabilitation and prevention technologies, the job market and the purchasing power of persons with disabilities are some of the issues to be considered during the event.
