Panel on Accessible Tourism at the 33rd International Tourism Fair

Accessibility, a competitive advantage in tourism destinations

The event "Accessibility: a competitive advantage in tourism destinations," jointly organized by UNWTO, ONCE Foundation and IFEMA, will take place in the context of the next edition of the International Tourism Fair of Madrid FITUR 2013, highlighting good practices in the field of accessible tourism in Europe and Latin America and an emphasis on accessible destinations in Uruguay.

The day will include representatives of the tourism sector, recognized experts and organizations representing people with disabilities or special needs who will share their knowledge and experiences in the area of ​​accessible tourism, analyzing the opportunities and challenges in this field. The event will be an occasion to present the current collaboration between UNWTO, ONCE Foundation, the European Network for Accessible Tourism (ENAT), and the ACS Foundation, aimed at improving the accessibility of tourist destinations globally.

The language of the event will be Castilian, without simultaneous translation into other languages​​. Interpretation will be provided in Spanish sign language with subtitles.
