ATIA 2013 Webinar: Creating Assistive Technology Solution in Minutes - Quick Make and Take Tips, Tricks and Techniques

Individuals with disabilities need immediate solutions to everyday challenges. Thousands of solutions can be created in five minutes or less using every day tools and materials with out the need for electricity. This workshop will demonstrate fabrication tools, materials, tips, tricks and techniques for creating solutions in minutes. Participants will: Learn how to use amazing new adhesives and fasteners for quick and inexpensive mounting solutions; learn the difference between plastics such as Stratacore, acrylic, Lexan, ABS, and polyester Mylar. Learn how to score, snap, heat and bend acrylic in 10 seconds. Learn creative uses for a PVC cutter, acrylic cutter, wire cutter, utility knife, and a mini blow torch and learn how to use 10 different types of specialty tapes. Rather than still images, this webinar will use video through out to demonstrate these very simple fabrication techniques.
