Launch of UNICEF’s flagship report State of the World’s Children 2013

Panel discussion on this year’s topic: Children with Disabilities

The panel will discuss “Society for All: Overcoming Barriers to Exclusion” and will be moderated by Martin Mogwanja, UNICEF Deputy Executive Director.

Panelists include:

  • Ipul Powaseu,  Chairperson of Papua New Guinea Assembly of Disabled Persons will speak about the intersection of gender and disability 
  • Olga Montufar Contreras , President of Fundación Paso a Paso and contributor to SOWC 2013 will speak on the issues of indigenous peoples with disabilities  
  • Emma Pearce, Senior Program Officer – Disability, Women’s Refugee Commission will speak about  persons with disabilities in humanitarian emergencies
  • Gopal Mitra, UNICEF Programme Specialist will speak on adolescents and youth with disabilities  

The venue is accessible and signing and CART will be offered at the event.
