EDF and Microsoft panel discussion on
“Digital Inclusion: From e-Voting to e-Governing”
  • Brussels, Belgium
  • November 13, 2013
  • European Parliament
The collaboration between civil society and industry is necessary to achieve the shared objective of a more inclusive society for all, which is also in line with the European Year of Citizens. To this end, on 13 November EDF and Microsoft jointly organise an important discussion among accessibility thought leaders aiming to share innovative ideas and expertise from a broad range of perspectives.

The event will take place at the European Parliament in Brussels and will focus on accessible e-government and e-voting . Both topics are timely and noteworthy due to the recent and forthcoming legislation, such as the Directive on Accessibility of Public Sector Bodies’ Websites and the European Accessibility Act, as well as in view of the upcoming European elections.

MEP Jorgo Chatzimarkakis, European Parliament rapporteur of the Proposal for a Directive on Accessibility of Public Sector Bodies’ Websites, will open the event.
