One Laptop Per Child in India: Fostering Learning
The US –based One Laptop per Child (OLPC) organisation is planning to distribute thirty lakh XO laptops among the children entering schools by the end of 2009. Its ultimate mission is to ensure that all school children in the age group of five and 12 in India are able to engage effectively with their own personal laptop, networked to the world, so that they, their families and their communities can openly learn and learn about learning.
