The 26th meeting of the UNIC Moscow 'Group of Friends' of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities took place on September 30, 2014 at the UN House in Moscow. Among those present were members of the UN agencies, experts and representatives of business organizations, educational institutions and community associations working in the field of equal opportunities for all and a fuller involvement of people with disabilities in social life.

The meeting discussed a wide range of issues concerning the rights of disabled persons and the availability of information resources:
Meeting of the Group of Friends came saturated in terms of the exchange of views on the current trends in the field of human rights and more opportunities for people with disabilities. Participants agreed on a series of new initiatives to advance who will work in the coming months.
