Global Advisory

Scope & Role

G3ict’s Global Advisory Center (GAC) supports organizations in developing and implementing digital inclusion strategies through:

  • ICT procurement policies
  • Accessibility standards
  • Maturity models and benchmarking

Working closely with accessibility experts and persons with disabilities, GAC engages with international organizations, governments, smart cities, universities, and Fortune 500 companies. Its global network of advisors and certified consultants spans more than 40 countries.

GAC collaborates with G3ict’s Institutional Advocacy programs and the IAAP Professional Education division. Its unique methodologies, global footprint, and multi‑stakeholder perspective provide a strong foundation for effective digital inclusion strategies.

Training & Professional Development

In addition to advisory services, GAC delivers training programs that help organizations and professionals strengthen accessibility expertise and integrate inclusive practices:

  • Workshops: Tailored sessions for governments, smart cities, universities, and enterprises.
  • Maturity Model Training: Practical guidance on using G3ict’s Digital Inclusion Maturity Models® to benchmark and roadmap accessibility strategies.
  • Inclusive Procurement Training: Support for procurement leaders adapting policies to ensure accessible technology purchasing.
  • IAAP Integration: Training aligned with IAAP certification pathways (CPACC, WAS, ADS), connecting advisory work with professional development.
  • Specialized Thematic Training: Programs linked to initiatives such as Smart Cities for All (SC4A) and the Business Accessibility Criteria (BAC).

Digital Inclusion Frameworks

IAAP Business Accessibility Criteria (BAC)

The IAAP Business Accessibility Criteria (BAC) is a structured framework that empowers organizations to embed accessibility across every aspect of their operations. Developed with input from disability advocates, BAC offers practical guidance across:

  • Fundamentals
  • Assets & operations
  • People

By adopting BAC, companies strengthen compliance, enhance brand reputation, unlock new markets, and demonstrate leadership in accessibility. BAC is positioned as a win–win model: businesses gain untapped opportunities while customers with disabilities access equitable offerings.

Smart Cities for All (SC4A)

Cities worldwide are undergoing digital transformations but often fail to include persons with disabilities and older populations. This lack of accessibility impacts daily life across transportation, e‑government, employment, civic engagement, safety, emergency response, voting, financial services, and independent living.

The Smart Cities for All (SC4A) initiative partners with leading organizations to create and deploy tools and strategies for inclusive Smart Cities. Its Digital Inclusion Maturity Model® helps stakeholders build roadmaps and strategies to grow capabilities and commitment to inclusion.

G3ict, through SC4A, also has partnered with the World Economic Forum and the G20 Global Smart Cities Alliance to advance inclusive technology procurement policies worldwide.

Digital Inclusion Maturity Model (MaMo) Program

Beyond SC4A, G3ict has developed additional maturity models tailored to different sectors:

  • Smart University Digital Inclusion Maturity Model® for higher education institutions
  • Smart Enterprise Maturity Model® for companies of all sizes

Each tool defines key performance indicators and metrics to support accessibility and inclusion, helping organizations build roadmaps and strategies for long‑term impact.

The AI for Inclusive Urban Sidewalks addresses one of the biggest challenges facing persons with disabilities in cities worldwide: sidewalk accessibility and mobility barriers.

Working with five cities, G3ict has collected and openly shared pedestrian accessibility data, focusing on solutions such as:

  • Open data standards and tools for inclusive pedestrianism
  • Personalized pedestrian routing tools
  • Mapping efforts (e.g., Wheelmap)
  • Pedestrian networking tools (e.g., Pathvu)
