G3ict at the World Summit on the Information Society Forum 2021

Overview:The World Summit on the Information Society Forum 2021 represents the world's largest annual gathering of the ‘ICT for development’ community. The WSIS Forum, co-organized by ITU, UNESCO, UNDP and UNCTAD, in close collaboration with all WSIS Action Line Facilitators/Co-Facilitators, has proven to be an efficient mechanism for coordination of multi- stakeholder implementation activities, information exchange, creation of knowledge, sharing of best practices and continues to provide assistance in developing multi-stakeholder and public/private partnerships to advance development goals.
G3ict is participating in Session 126: Special Track on ICTs and Accessibility for Persons with Disabilities and Specific Needs. Axel Leblois will share the results of the DARE Index 2020 measuring the progress of 137 States Parties in implementing the digital accessibility provisions of the CRPD. This session will feature global trends, best practices pioneered by countries of different regions and levels of economic development presented by local advocates.
