Andrew Kirkpatrick, Accessibility Industry Veteran, Joins G3ict as Senior Fellow
G3ict, the Global Initiative for Inclusive ICTs, announced today the appointment of Andrew Kirkpatrick as Senior Fellow. In his capacity, Andrew will advise G3ict on global digital accessibility harmonization and standardization matters and related digital inclusion policies and programs.

Andrew Kirkpatrick is an experienced technology industry leader in accessibility standards and policy expert. Andrew led the Adobe Accessibility Team from 2007 to 2024 and participated, on behalf of Adobe, in multiple standards and policy engagements. He represented Adobe on the W3Cās Accessibility Guidelines Working Group for 17 years and served as chair and co-editor of the group to lead the development of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 standard. Andrew was also appointed to serve on committees for the U.S. Access Board, the U.S. Federal Communications Commission, and the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) to guide regulations for accessibility.
Starting effective immediately, Andrew will help G3ict promote the inclusion of digital accessibility policies and standards in the context of the upcoming United Nations Pact for the Future and Global Digital Compact in collaboration with the technology industry, organizations of persons with disabilities and policy experts involved in the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and its transposition into laws, regulations and programs.
