Opening a new window of opportunities for mobile users of all abilities, the M-Enabling Summit, convening in Washington, D.C. June 6-7, 2013 attracts attendees from a wide range of industry sectors serving seniors and consumers of all abilities. With more than one billion potential users worldwide, accessible and assistive solutions are at the forefront of the industry. The Summit, organized in cooperation with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), encompasses a variety of topics from sectors including education, senior services, rehabilitation, travel and transportation, gaming, mobile e- commerce and emergency response. Leading solutions for physical, visual and speech impairments, hard of hearing, as well as learning and cognitive disabilities will be demonstrated. The Summit will also review how mobile applications and services leveraging the latest accessibility innovations embedded in smartphones and tablets are playing a key role in rapidly transforming these sectors.

The M-Enabling Summit brings together mobile service providers, equipment and software application developers, persons with disabilities, policy makers, researchers and accessibility experts to exchange information and experiences. The M-Enabling Summit 2013 is the premier forum for linking U.S. and international leaders to the global ecosystem for mobile technology that services senior citizens and persons with disabilities.
