G3ict & the United Nations System

G3ict is an independent nonprofit, non-governmental organization (NGO) that has held consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) since 2017 and is accredited as a civil society organization to the Conference of States Parties (COSP) to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD). It also participates in the Civil Society Steering Committee that informs COSP agendas.

G3ict engages in global initiatives related to digital accessibility through its membership in the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), contributing to work across ITU‑T, ITU‑D, and ITU‑R. Learn more about the work of the G3ict Delegation at the ITU.

G3ict collaborates with a wide range of United Nations system entities on ICT accessibility, including Specialized Agencies (ILO, UNESCO, WHO, WIPO, World Bank), Funds and Programmes (UNDP, UN‑Habitat, UNICEF), Research and Training Institutes (UNITAR), Departments and Offices (DESA, OHCHR, ODET, OICT), and Regional Commissions (ESCAP, ECLAC/CEPAL). It also engages with United Nations–supported multi‑stakeholder initiatives such as the UN Global Compact. Together, these collaborations strengthen shared efforts to advance digital inclusion and accessibility worldwide.
